See yourself as an Eagle, not a Chicken

I like chickens, not because I'm a chicken.

But because of the Chicken-mayo sandwich that I just ate for breakfast.

Let's talk about the Eagle, on the other hand.

Uhm..... Let's pass, I only know about Chickens and that's because my father dreamt of owning a Chicken farm one day, but that didn't happen.

You want to know why, Life happened and as the saying goes: 'life is too short.'

He used to tell me about Chickens, and how much he's going to make from the Chicken farm.

Boring tale right?

Yes, and I will tell you why.

All I wanted to know or hear as a young men were stories about the mighty Eagle, because I had never seen one rather on a magazine or television.

You can imagine the life I've lived, a boring one not in the farm or the rural areas but a dusty and shanty place in the local areas called Winnie Mandela (Tembisa, South Africa)

Okay, enough about my father and his dream 'Chicken farm'..... All I wanted was your attention, and thanks for reading until this far.

Eagles are amazing creatures, and there is much that we can learn from them.

Did you know that God identifies himself with these creatures?

From my previous post  '𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗘𝗮𝗴𝗹𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂' on LinkedIn please check it out if you can.

We discussed 'The one thing we all have in common, which is the fact that #adversity#affliction#suffering is a part of life.'

Today let's talk about "Having a Vision."

  • A vision enables us to see the world not for what it is but for what it can become.

  • A vision enables us to see our neighbour not for who our neighbour is but for who our neighbour can become.

  • A vision enables us to see ourselves not for who we are but for who we can become.

  • A vision enables us to soar like the Eagle and to reach new heights.

  • A vision enables us to transcend the walls of adversity in life and see what is waiting for us on the other side.

  • A vision enables us to plan ways to climb over the walls of adversity and empowers us to build doors when we can't get over them.

The man or woman who has no vision is like the house built upon sand.

When the waters of life come, that individual will be all washed out.

But for the individual who has a vision like you and I, the water can be held back, avoided, or overcome, and as a result, Greater things will follow.

I hope you've enjoyed this piece of junk, as I enjoyed writing it.
