WHY IT'S SO IMPORTANT NOT TO GIVE UP AFTER REJECTION

  This is part of my LinkedIn Writing Club, To stay tuned, Follow me @  #marcusmalesela Remember how when we were young growing up, and the way we to get through rejections and objections from our parents.  Buddha said we should 'believe nothing, no matter where we read it, or who said it, no matter if I have said it unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense.'  So, this quote could be interpreted as more or less saying: Keep believing what you believe, as well as anything that confirms those existing beliefs.  People already believe what they think agrees with their “logic” which is often faulty and “common sense” which is usually another word for “what we accept without thinking deeply”.    I remember in the old days before I could even find JOY in my writing - I wrote my first ever article and forwarded it to a friend to view and give me feedback on my writing, His response was: 'Buddy there is enough sh**t out there already wri...

See yourself as an Eagle, not a Chicken

I like chickens, not because I'm a chicken.  But  because of the Chicken-mayo sandwich that I just ate for breakfast.  Let's talk about the Eagle, on the other hand.  Uhm..... Let's pass, I only know about Chickens and that's because my father dreamt of owning a Chicken farm one day, but that didn't happen.  You want to know why, Life happened and as the saying goes: 'life is too short.'  He used to tell me about Chickens, and how much he's going to make from the Chicken farm.    Boring tale right?  Yes, and I will tell you why.  All I wanted to know or hear as a young men were stories about the mighty Eagle, because I had never seen one rather on a magazine or television.  You can imagine the life I've lived, a boring one not in the farm or the rural areas but a dusty and shanty place in the local areas called Winnie Mandela (Tembisa, South Africa)  Okay, enough about my father and his dream 'Chicken farm'.....
