In every area of life we are witnessing failure at an all-time high ~ people are failing, failing in politics, failing as government heads, and failing as educators.

It's a shame that this mad cycle doesn't show any signs to end.

When does this mad cycle of unnecessary failure end? We will begin to see winners emerging from the ashes only and only when teachers once again begin teaching and students begin learning the lesson.

We hear parents who still blame and shame the school systems, some teachers are so frustrated having gone to college for almost 6 - 7 years to earn a degree in teaching. yet having no one interested in learning.

I know I hate to be taught but I like learning. At the same time, children are just going to school feeling as if their main concern is to protect themselves from the criminals within the educational system or an Espace from the harsh reality of life. It's all madness.

Another reason is one that we fight every day, the reason our jails are so filled up with strong and healthy men is that most men are not teachable.

Having an unteachable spirit will always produce trouble ~ Mentoring is the cure.

But we have to be willing to be taught and then we must be willing to give back that which we were taught.

7 Benefits Of Being A Mentor

  • Improve Communication Skills

As a mentor, you work on your verbal and written communication skills by working with your mentee and having conversations

  • Reinforce Your Own Knowledge

Since you get to share your own knowledge and experiences, it can help to reinforce what you know. It may also open the door for new learning.

  • Enhance Your CV

Depending on your career or situation, being a mentor can help to boost your CV. For example, if you are a senior student at a college who takes on a freshman mentee, this could be added to your resume when you apply for a job. It helps to demonstrate leadership skills!

  • Broaden Network

As a mentor, you can broaden your own network by connecting with other mentors and leadership professionals.

  • Gain Recognition

This is often not the primary goal of mentors, when you are a good mentor and your mentee succeeds, part of the success is owed to you. In this way, you may gain recognition and praise for the work you put in.

  • Sense Of Fulfillment And Growth

Ultimately, the highest sense of recognition you may feel is that you give yourself. The sense of fulfillment and personal growth can be astounding when a mentor looks back at their relationship with their mentee(s).

  • Improved Leadership Skills

Importantly, when you are a mentor, you are a leader. This dynamic relationship will surely help to improve your leadership skills over time.

In order for us to make any sizeable progress, we have to first become humble.

I learned that 'There is no another way to become successful unless you're taught how to become so'

Self-help books are still one of the bestselling categories in the publishing world. You may ask why?

People are tired of making the same mistakes over and over again, so it makes sense why they've decided to get some help from the experts.

You can change to try to be a plumber or an electrician and make an entire mess of your home or you can buy a book or even watch Youtube videos - on how to be your plumber still you're going to make a mess of your home.

That is still fine because you would have learned something new and it is your home, no need to blame anyone.

But the best way to become a plumber or anything of value in life is to become an apprentice and be personally mentored by a master.

We can have all the book knowledge in the world, but if we don't know how to submit ourselves to the teaching of a master, We will inevitably fail in life.

I've not failed because I only failed in my head.

There is an old saying that says 'Talent comes and goes' and one of the root causes of this is the man's inability to be taught.

I also had this belief thinking that I'm right; 'I'm a man like any other man, what can another man tell me about anything' and when we speak such vain words as these, little do we realize that we are killing our only possibility of becoming successful in life.

Always be willing to be mentored by your mentors and no matter how long you study under a teacher, Remember that the student is never greater than the teacher.

Thank you for your kind support ~ Let's remember to be civil to one another out there.
